Korea’s Telcos Prepare Bundled Services

Korea’s communication companies are busy coming up with consolidated products that provide both phone and Internet services.This comes as Seoul’s Information and Communication Ministry announced that it will allow dominant telecom carriers like KT and SK Telecom to bundle fixed-line or wireless voice with the Internet at lower prices in July.

KT is already working with KTF to offer package services with both wireless Internet and mobile services. SK and Hanaro Telecom are also discussing various discounted package services such as high-speed Internet plus mobile services or handheld devices with WiBRO. LG Telecom is also working with its subsidiaries to come up with similar packages.
